Make phone visible again and position it over the the group you created earlier.

Step 40

With the Pen tool (P), create a black shape to cover the bottom part of the phone.

Step 41

Select the phone group and the shape created in the previous step and open the Transparency panel. In the top right corner you’ll see an arrow, click on it, from the drop down menu select Make Opacity Mask. This will make the entire phone disappear, but we need to hide only the bottom part, so with the Transparency panel open, un-check Clip. This way only the bottom part of the phone will be hidden.

Step 42

With the phone group still selected (and the Transparency panel still open), click once on the mask window. This way we can apply a Gasian Blur to the mask layer only. After you’ve selected the mask layer, go to Effect > Blur > Gausian Blur and set the Radius to: 14px, click OK. You’re now finished!
